Mental Abstrato & Tahira – Baiao/ Inteferencia – Santo
This EP is all about fresh music with brazilian influences.
The track Baiao got inspiration on regional rhythms from the northeast part of Brazil. There the sound is more raw and tuff and the beats are strong. Mental Abstrato and Tahira add some beats on it and some modern elements plus the cuica played by Glauber Omig One half brain from Mental Abstrato´s project. Together with Tranquis (the other half) they do instrumental hip hop influenced by Jazz, Samba, Afro and Funk.
Santo has this Afro Brazilian enviroment. Tipical percussion for religious sessions. Very strong in North and Northeast of BRAzil. Interferencia is a IDM artist into crazy beats and a lot of digital sounds. Here he shows a unusual musical work for the people that used to follow his music. But its very interesting listen to his brazilian side.
